Access Control Systems
Electronic access control systems range in size and
complexity from stand-alone models protecting a
single area to organization-wide systems that
encompass many buildings protecting hundreds of
areas. Commercial Entry Systems, Inc. is well
versed in the entire gamut from stand-alone to large
and complex implementations.
As a systems integrator, CES can offer you many
access control options in order to best meet your
security needs. Access control systems we currently
have in place include Schlage Security Management
System (formerly Geoffrey Access Control),
Recognition Systems Hand Net, Securakey, Corby,
Alarm Lock Trilogy, LG Iris, and more.
Basic access control systems act in the following
manner; users or cardholders are stored on either a
stand-alone mechanism or in a centralized location
that interfaces with secured areas. When personnel
attempt to gain access into an area, their user ID
swipe- or proximity-card is referenced against those
with valid access and time restrictions. Based upon
the results, access is either granted or denied with
some kind of log generated.

Electronic Door Hardware
Electronic locks are available in a wide variety of
types, each designed for specific physical
requirements. In many cases, electronic and
mechanical
hardware are combined to provide total
control of an opening.
CES continually researches and evaluates the
latest door locking hardware products to stay on the
forefront of today’s technology. Panic bars,
push-button locks, electrified hardware, deadbolts,
door closers and electronic locks are all equipment
that we install and service every day.
CES has extensive experience in both electronic and
mechanical hardware. Our professionals are available
to help design the right system for your security
application

Access Control Card Reader
Access control card readers are used in physical
security systems to read a credential that allows
access through access control points that is
typically a locked door. An access control reader
can be a magnetic stripe reader, a bar code reader,
a proximity reader, a smart card reader, or a
biometric reader. A card reader is a perfect access
control device for doors in factories, office
buildings, and other sensitive areas. CES offers a
variety of card reader technologies from biometrics
to magnetic stripes that may be used with its
physical access control systems. Some technologies
may be mixed within the same system to provide a
convenient, cost-effective solution

Intercom Systems
Business
wireless intercom systems and wired systems are a
great way to make an office more productive. An
intercom allows people to communicate instantly with
each other through the push of a button. They range
from wired or wireless to full mounted intercoms
such as telephone entry systems used in apartment
complexes.
When someone arrives at an outside door, they press
a button that alerts one or multiple inside stations
and then the people inside the building can talk to
them by pressing a button on an inside station and
can include Video that will enables you to actually
see who is at the outside station as well.

Telephone Entry Systems
A telephone entry system is used to communicate with
a visitor at a secured entry point such as a common
entry door to an office or apartment building. Once
communication is established, the visitor may be
granted/denied access remotely
Telephone entry and Intercom systems provide
excellent perimeter security for apartment and
office buildings. With automatic locking schedules,
they can screen out after-hours visitors and
integrate with cameras and card access to provide
positive ID.
The most popular model used is basically a speed
dialing hands-free telephone with the ability to
open a door. A" no phone line" type system looks and
functions like a "phone line" type system. Instead
of using a separate phone line to dial out, it is
physically wired into the tenant’s phone lines.
We carry all brands and models including Aiphone,
DoorKing, Linear, Sentex, Aegis (Pach & Co.) and
more.

Detention Hardware
If your security levels vary from low, medium and
high and also have separate areas that require low
to high levels, heavy duty electric strikes are
widely used as they provide a dual function with
mechanical and electric access control for
individual confinement rooms.
Electric strikes are very useful in creating what is
called a man-trap system. A man-trap system is a
means of controlling access to a restricted area by
requiring a person to walk through two
electronically interlocking doors, thus
necessitating that walk through one door, wait while
it is closed and locked before the second door is
able to be opened. This permits the detention center
to perform any necessary searches and inspections
prior to entering restricted areas.
